Message from Teresa of Avila
“Our Lady of The Interior Life”
“I trust the answers I find within. I know that the presence of love is real”
Before I chose this card I was on Pinterest. I saw a quote from Teresa that caught my eye. I know I was meant to see it for a reason.
I was feeling a little down so I decided I was going to draw some oracle cards. I decided to choose my newest deck to start, one that I have not used very often. I know it was divinely inspired. When the Teresa of Avila card appeared I knew she was with me. And wanted to get a message out. This happens frequently and this is one of those powerful times where I feel her very strongly. The card is from the Divine Feminine by Meggan Watterson and what is in the book is written importantly.
With Passion and Conviction, Theresa of Avila connects us to the love and truth available to us whenever we turn inward.
Saint Theresa was born in Avila, Spain in 1515. As an adolescent she experienced many illnesses and was confined to a bed, which allowed her to begin to explore her own thoughts. She read every book she could find on spiritual exploration and contemplative prayer. By the time she was a young adult she knew she wanted to dedicate her life to the interior world. At 44 she began to have a series of visions that convinced her that Jesus Christ appeared to her in bodily form and yet remained invisible to the eye. These visions lasted for 2 yrs and would inform her books, especially the spiritual masterpiece “The Interior Castle” which charts the ascent of the soul as an inner journey through the seven mansions (states of being) that exist within us. She wrote that “God dwells in our soul” She reminded that “we ourselves are the castle” and that “the door of entry into the castle is prayer and meditation” The closer ones gets to the 7th mansion where the soul ascends, which requires going inward, the stronger the light is. She describes the ways to discern the voice and presence of the divine within us and the certainly of God that arrives that cannot be explained or doubted.
The inner journey was so significant to Saint Theresa because she believed that God didn’t care about the magnitude of anything we do, but rather the amount of love that we do it with.
She urges us all to go within, to meditate, to pray to meet with the presence of the soul. And then she asks for us to believe that it is real, and that the answers we find are real. She asks us to move into that inner truth into the world with confidence and conviction. She also states “if you have God you will want for nothing, God alone suffices”
Once you know the truth, never fear to share it with the world. I know sometimes not everyone will receive it well but if we all speak in a humble way with the truth and share our experiences, it will make the world a better place. I have been working with Jesus Christ a lot more lately and I have deep appreciation for Teresa appearing for so many reasons, for myself and for all others.
I hope this message helps.
This was a lovely message and one I needed to be reminded of. Peace and blessings.

Thank you, I’m glad the message could be helpful. I too was sad & disturbed by the fire. Acts like this will never take away God or Heaven above. In some events it even makes our faith stronger.
